Glimmerglass Festival

In the Summer of 2014 I was hired for a professional internship by one of the most prestigious Opera companies in the country. I worked in Stage Operations, where we were responsible for running 4 operas in rep from backstage. Besides run crew we also changed over between shows everyday and sometimes twice a day, striking and storing one show and loading in the next multi million dollar set and lighting arrangement. Also providing carpentry, lighting, prop, and costume support, this internship gave me priceless experience working in a fast paced, no excuses, corporate environment.

Mad River Festival

I will be returning to Dell’ Arte’s Mad River Festival for the third consecutive year in the position of Assistant Technical Director. My main responsibilities include lighting design for close to ten original pieces of theatre in a one month window, carpentry and electrics support, and run crew for the festivals many events. I also oversee general grounds and theatre maintenance for an outdoor amphitheater, a 100 seat raked audience house, 5 rehearsal spaces, and several company storage facilities.

Silver Center for the Arts

or four years I worked in every capacity at Plymouth State University’s Silver Center for the Arts. From costume practicums, to lighting technician, lighting designer, and master carpenter. The Center maintains 3 theatre’s including a 670 seat proscenium, a 100 seat black box, and a 60 seat recital hall, as well as a dance studio, art gallery and separate rehearsal room. This is where I learned the tools of the trade in technical theatre. Earning a dual option in Design/ Tech alongside my focus in acting. As well as mounting the Theatre department’s extensive season of theatre The Silver Center for the arts operates as a roadhouse for traveling shows, guest speakers, workshops, and musicians whose needs we saw to, technical and personal.
